By name, Astrologian appeared once. Final Fantasy Tactics' Astrologer's JP name is different by one character from modern Astrologian's, but the name is the same (and slight tweaks to how a job is spelled out aren't really uncommon, either).

Astral Stasis, the LV3 Limit Break ability of Astrologian, takes its name from Celestial Stasis, to the point where the JP names are identical (星天停止). Celestial Stasis was an ability of Astrologer in Final Fantasy Tactics.

On top of this, Astrologian borrows heavily from Time Mage, as well as Oracle. Astrologian isn't new, it's just a creative package of several jobs that couldn't stand on their own.
