I think we're all getting side-tracked here.

Counting the number of titles in which Samurai and Blue Mage have been included doesn't seem like it will relate to FFXIV all that much, particularly as FFXIV is a stand-alone game. I agree with Frankenbeans, a number of Pro-Samurai players are highly vocal and tend to be aggressive both in tone and content, as if by intimidating others into silence, it will somehow increase the odds that the Spiderman shirt references Samurai. I also don't think these people need necessarily be acknowledged beyond the content of their posts. There's little point in policing tone, when the internet is a pretty terrible place to convey such subtle aspects of conversation.

Logic indicates the Spider-Man Shirt (the topic of this thread by it's very title) would reference Blue Mage. It takes, 'Mental Gymnastics,' to convince one's self or others differently. Spiderman's very story is that of a Blue Mage, in essence.
Logic indicates through data-mined files that there is a high probably that Samurai will be added in Stormblood. These files could be false and meant to lead us astray, but they're still more solid than speculation on a shirt.

RDM has a very strong Sharlayan aesthetic and Samurai is of Doman origin, were it just to be these two classes to be introduced the entire expansion it'd be a shame to not be introduced to any more disciplines of Ala Mhigan origin. If the link to Rhauban can be made, then having BLU be that discipline would be interesting.

We will see the reveal of the second job for launch at the final fan fest, and the reveal or possibly even a hint of one to come after the release. Something more intrinsically tied to Ala Mhigo or the situation there and perhaps becomes available as the story of SB unfolds.

I agree. If anything, we will get both. there are clear signs leading to both.

However, Yoshi-P did say a while back (I believe before HW came out, don't quote me, though) that it was extremely difficult for the dev team to create 3 jobs, and it was something they would never want to do again. So its pretty safe to assume that we are getting 2. Not definite, just safe.

Also, they do have to put in a lot of time in the revamping of the battle system, which I'm sure if a huge feat. That can definitely take away development time of a 3rd job, or quite honestly it could make the development of a 3rd job easier. Who knows.

IF I had to guess, I would say both SAM & BLU. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
