I don't understand how anyone who's ever played any of the final fantasy games can assume that the Lady in Red is a Dancer.

Exactly, they're so desperate for dancer that apparently they're willing to accept the idea of a dancer being virtually indistinguishable from a monk.

The woman in red is a monk, period.
