It also could have multiple meanings or implications. Could being pure speculation of course.
Yeah I mean, if BLU is confirmed people will just say "I TOLD YOU SO" no point arguing it.
And I still struggle to see the logic, it's a 4.0 trailer showing 2 Monks fight, end of. The blue aura is 1 of 2 things, either creative design or a new skill/buff in 4.0 which Monks have access to.
Just going to stick with Spiderman being the one and only teaser. Can the BLU camp stop trying to enforce everything that involves freaken blue is a hint to BLU, it's a common colour and a primary colour at that... I'll try it to.
Heavenstun has Samurai helmets, SAM hint? The poem describes the Rising Sun, SAM hint? The 4.0 trailer has an eastern music theme to it, SAM hint? Zenos looks like a Magitech Samurai, SAM hint? etc...

The glowing bits at the end of the trailer were for artistic purpose. This was said by Yoshida in one of the interviews. If I remember it correctly they were not planned and the studio put them there in the end. (Something about the trailer finishing in time for the Fanfest)
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
I highly doubt it, the context of the entire quote directly indicates that the azure part is indicating ishgard.
sun doth rise - east - ala mhigo - crimson - stormblood
sun doth fall - west - ishgard - azure - heavensward
It is saying that as another chapter opens, we close on ishgard (and that a storm is coming for the azure city state).
I'm going with the fact that none of the clues we have been given have pointed to BLU specifically, and that BLU is as likely as it is unlikely (shrodingers BLU?)
Edit: The text confirms gunblades as much as it confirms BLU (why else would they use the word squall?), why isn't that speculation?

All I know is if it ends up being blue I would just give them a bravo and a convinced golf-clap.
They made just so much teasing for it that is insane, a lot of things they did recently used red and blue theme that while not being related to red and blue mage at all could be speculated on, wich is exactly what YoshiP seems to thrive on.
I mean how about the guy during starlight saying I couldn't decide between the red or blue present so I got them both.
For all the people hoping in blue mage (I ain't one, my favourite FF jobs are all in the game already) that is such a cocktease.
Having either 4 tanks, or 4 healers isn't going to change up those roles as much as another option for dps.My issue with the entire Blue mage discussion probability, is that I can only see it become a dps. And I doubt they want to further increase the dps classes pool, considering RDM is the dps class for the expansion. Blue mage as healer/support seems very odd. I can maybe see it as tank. Unless they start walking away from the holy trinity system. And create a hybrid class.
Dancer as healer/buffer is more likely. Especially if it's a class related to ala mhigo. But again, so can be blue mage. There are so many mixed signals that it's hard for me to 100% say "oh it's going to be this!".
I personally think Yoshi-p is at least doing a good job at making us guess and second guess ourselves. Props to that, it will only make the eventual unveiling all the sweeter.
Think about RDM and the introduction of all the other jobs, with RDM we currently have 3 on everything but BRD/MCH
Tanks, WAR/PLD/DRK
Healer, WHM/SCH/AST
Melee DPS, NIN/DRG/MNK
Range DPS, BRD/MCH
Magic DPS RDM/BLM/SMN
What's actually missing is a new range DPS which would actually create an equal ratio with each job type in the game currently. When they commented that RDM would be closer to BLM/SMN I felt like this was a hint as to what the next job was going to be, another range.
With that said, there are two ways they can do this, they either add a gunslinger like job, two gun, bang bang or they introduce Beast Master whom uses Whips for their range attack and make the whip length the same as a range attack lol.
At this point it would be surprising if the other job was tank or healer, if there are two it's possible they could over-saturate those roles making it harder to balance them compared to DPS which is easier because each can have it's own playstyle without stepping on the toes of other job. But the current issue is if you look at 3.4, Astrologist is pretty much leaving the other 2 healers in the dust with their buff and the difference in skill opportunity is pretty skewed at this point in time that if they were to introduce another healer, all it would do is make WHM harder to keep relevant. It would be easier to keep a healer role relevant by keeping it at 3 since the content in question would only leave 1 of that role type out, but when you add another now you leave 2 of the role out on top of potentially making 1 irrelevant because of how well the other two perform.
In a way the 3/3/3 ratio helps to keep each job type balanced since they can play off one another, you wouldn't want to use the same jobs with certain content and can be more flexible with it, 2 tanks, 2 healers, 4 dps. for 24 man raids that's currently 3 tanks, 6 healers and 15 DPS. So DPS honestly have nothing to worry about by just having that type added to the game compared to another tank/healer.
However yes, there is a semi imbalance atm since to an extent range/magic are consider the same compared to DPS, so it is possible the job could be a melee DPS like Blue Mage, since they could be a mage that plays close range. In total the pool of jobs normally pulled in most content tends to be either tank/healer/melee/range, 2 tanks/ 2 healers / 2 melee / 2 range and 1 tank /2 healers / 5 DPS of random assortment usually 2/2 with 1 being added to either range or melee.
We'll find out in a little over a month though but when thinking about what the job could be, a thought to keep in mind is that it will possibly be something that won't ruin the current Duty Finder balance and saying that I am now leaning more towards a melee job unless they go ahead and introduce a range DPS that doesn't have support mechanics like BRD/MCH but rather DPS potential relative to the current melee DPS in which they could then fill the role of a melee DPS rather than be considered range in DF.
I have an idea what if blue Mage learns all their skills from the job quests and the introductory quest is a huge magic hunt quest to gain 18 spells for the tentative level 50 starting level. And instead spells learned out of the story quest are only for glamour.
For example you learn goblin punch as your introductory level 1 spell. Then go out into the field and learn bludgeon. Therefore you would go to the blue magic menu and change the animation to your new learned spell. Potencies/additional effects will remain the same. This way yoshi-p won't have to worry about players being judged for not having certain spells.

Player
Amusingly enough I've seen someone interpret that in the opposite manner. Crimson being the fires of the Dragonsong War and Azure being the upcoming water / ocean exploration. ...I can't agree with their interpretation, but /shrug
Yeah, that's a valid way to look at it, a pattern in the teasing, rather than just pure odds.Or we could look at it this way:
2014 Fanfest we had one name relation: Dark Knight -> Dark Knight
2014 Fanfest we had one theme related clue: 007 -> gadgets and guns -> machinist
2016 Fanfest we had one name relation: Scarlet Witch -> Red Mage
2016 we may or may not have a theme related clue: Spiderman -> ??? -> ???
