My issue with the entire Blue mage discussion probability, is that I can only see it become a dps. And I doubt they want to further increase the dps classes pool, considering RDM is the dps class for the expansion. Blue mage as healer/support seems very odd. I can maybe see it as tank. Unless they start walking away from the holy trinity system. And create a hybrid class.

Dancer as healer/buffer is more likely. Especially if it's a class related to ala mhigo. But again, so can be blue mage. There are so many mixed signals that it's hard for me to 100% say "oh it's going to be this!".

I personally think Yoshi-p is at least doing a good job at making us guess and second guess ourselves. Props to that, it will only make the eventual unveiling all the sweeter.

My brain says Blue Mage. All the hints are there, Spiderman makes much more sense as a BLU reference than anything else. What's the first thing you think of when you hear "Spiderman"? Is it one of the directors from a movie trilogy? No. Is it dancing? No. It's some dude with the powers of a spider, that's literally the design of the character. Blue Mage simply makes the most sense given the shirt alone.

People gotta stop quoting an interview Yoshi did OVER TWO YEARS AGO as a reason for why it can't be BLU. He initially said RDM wouldn't work either, and here we are.

Also, you gotta remember that they benched Samurai from Ishgard because it didn't make sense thematically. SAM doesn't fit in Ala Mhigo either.

Just want to point out, there's 2/3 Odds that the T-Shirt tease has absolutely nothing to do with abilities.

Dark Knight has nothing to do with Batman.
Red Mage has nothing to do with Scarlet Witch.
Both were merely used for their name. Dark Knight is nothing close to an animal-themed ninja, nor does Red Mage have anything to do with perception-alteration.
Machinist was teased with 007, a marksman, with Yoshi-P specifically pointing to "Gadgets". This foreshadowed Machinists abilities.

That would be valid if it weren't for the fact he literally reiterated that very same idea on stage during his Naoki's Room segment with his last guest. Reaffirming his idea of Blue Mage not working in the normal sense and being a solo content type of job, where the point of the job is to simply gather monster abilities for the collection aspect and acting as a sort of "Professor of Monsters."

I also feel since he brought up Blue Mage then, and discussed it, that it is absolutely less likely to be in 4.0 as a result. Considering he avoids and deflects hints towards correct guesses, it was odd he'd bring up blue mage (especially in response to his guest basically asking for samurai tank), and to me says that blue mage won't be in 4.0 at least.

That's because with heavensward the jobs were located inside Ishgard, and arguably Astrologian has almost nothing to do with Ishgard either. We know with Stormblood this is absolutely not the case, as all the new jobs will start in ARR locations. Thus none of them have to originate from Ala Mhigo or its surrounding areas (Obviously Red Mage is likely of Sharlayan origins, and begins in Ul'dah).

Every job can be added anywhere as long as appropriate writing is created so that it makes sense in the game's setting and lore. Machinist made zero sense to come from the Knightly and Medieval themed Ishgard yet SE made them fit just fine.

I can definitely see Blue Mage as a magic tank. Big Guard tank stance or long cooldown survival ability? Pearl Wind big heal? Monster abilities could be restricted to being learned from job quests and the job itself could delve into a different way for blue mage to interact with monster abilities in the wider world. Ie: exposure to abilities outside may not learn those abilities but provide some other form of empowerment to the blue mage. People are focused on blue mages being attacked to learn, but it's more along the lines of being exposed to in the case of learning non-offensive abilities.

So their deleting MNK and adding in BLU? Because that "blue man" is literally a monk, Yoshi-P confirmed he is wearing the new Monk AF gear

We also have this render what is the MNK AF gear which to no surprise he's got the monk stance and I don't see much blue in his armor.

I was referring to the 2 minute mark (as I said in my comment) when he glows blue, not his fighting style.

As far as how to balance his abilities, I also said that they would have to be given out in a controlled environment, such as a series of class quests that act as a sort of hunt to gain that ability. Every 5 levels your trainer will call you back as another set of monsters with these special abilities for you to learn had been found.

I am no game designer, but if I cna come up with that in 5 minutes, I am guessing the devs can implement this without any real issues.

No, Crimson is Stormblood, and Azure is Heavensward. The titles of both expansions in Japanese are Azure skies of Ishgard and Crimson Rebellion (or Liberation, I dont remember lol).
