It's almost like they're like, colors, man. And as has been stated NUMEROUS TIMES, Azure and Crimson are both part of the JP expansion titles for Heavensward and Stormblood, respectively.

It's entirely possible and likely they plan expansion themes and stories far ahead of time. We had a red and blue reference right after HW came out, before Stormblood was even mentioned. And both colors feature in the trailer, when the Derplander has gone over to being a monk. I don't get into wild speculations. I do find it suspicious that particular combination of colors keeps coming up.
