you kind of need to stretch it with spiderman...cause there's nothing else obvious that comes to mind.

ps: i highly suspect the red mage to be a piercing dps by the way
if it's caster, it's not going to do piercing damage -for convenience it's going to be int based magic damage, unless it has a bunch of melee combos - but it seems it's only using sword skills as a combo finisher, to jump back.
    well we'll see.

he also said, SAM feels more like a DPS, so if they add it, it will likely be DPS.

there it is again....hybrid job=DOESN'T WORK IN FFXIV (unless you mean that healer has melee ranged heals, and need to melee-heal tanks, which would kill the healer more times than not)

So while it looks like people are dancing they are actually training them as fighters :P If they did that I would be impressed...it's a pretty rad idea. Far fetched..I dunno, but its creative at least.

I took martial arts from Jason Frank..he taught me how to dance and fight. It's not that far fetched..lol and as an actress I have had quite a lot of roles where they ask me to dance and fight, like how the girl in red did. It is not unheard of. :P

And no, she is not a "monk" she is nothing as of right now. Yoshida already said he is not commenting whatsoever on what she is and we will find out in 3.5. Please stop posting false info.
That's the history of Kapoeira, so it's not a rad and far fetched idea, and yes it would work....but derplander is monk, and she's fighting him in the same way, so she IS monk - it's the theme of the expansion, and the trailer is an expansion/job trailer, and you have 2 monks fighting in a very monk-like setting (i heard that yoshi even said at the time of the trailer release, that they both were monks, though i have no idea if that's true)
If you know anything about Chinese and Japanese martial arts, you know that martial artists are always practicing forms through "dance-like motions" that doesn't make them dancers; that's like saying that bodybuilders are athletes, because they warm up by stretching.
