People talking about visiting Doma. You mean visiting the smoldering ruins of what remains of Doma after Garlemald burned the country to the ground?

Well, if you think about it, DRG was the focus for Heavensward, even though it existed before. MNK will be the focus for Stormblood even if it existed before.
So, by that logic, SAM could exist before the Doma expansion and still be the focus.
As for the poster new job, we still have a long list of them...DNC, BST, BLU...
Or Ninja could be the poster job for an Othard expansion. Or SE could put two jobs up there as the poster jobs; Ninja -and- Samurai. Or neither could be the poster job.Well, if you think about it, DRG was the focus for Heavensward, even though it existed before. MNK will be the focus for Stormblood even if it existed before.

Anyways, given all the latest things found in game and such, I'm starting to wonder if the Spiderman Shirt -will- reference Samurai. There are far better shirts for it. Up until now all the shirts have been very straightforward, but Spiderman = Samurai is a leap of logic.
I don't see anything positive in them leaking SAM files and then claiming it was false or trolling. Personally, I will be rather disappointed if we end up getting Dancer after this.
Personally I think for othard the poster job would be Sam, if you reference it back to FF11 like I have seen some do they were all Sam.Or Ninja could be the poster job for an Othard expansion. Then think of yugiri hailing from doma and her being a shinobi, which I think is very similar to nin with how they both operate from the shadows. ( I haven't really lv'd nin yet and have only done a few job quests but did learn from those that nin sticks to the shadows)
I do think we're getting Samurai this expansion. I just think the Spiderman shirt references Blue Mage. That makes the most logical sense.
From Yoshi's statements, BLU is something he is not ready to present yet since the concept is not really applicable to modern MMO mechanics.
I think Yoshida was trying to be a bit clever with the shirt tease, and perhaps didn't realize the connection to blue mage that players started theorizing. Or he intentionally did it to create confusion/multiple theories to keep players guessing. Samurai was already highly expected to be coming from past comments, and so a shirt that would make it obvious it was indeed coming would have been far too easy and so he chose to go with a more bizarre approach that's a bit of a stretch to make players doubt it.
Pretty sure Gunblade/ gunsword is coming in 5.0 or 6.0 where we go to garland - The question is what kind of job will it be.........+ Screw how long it takes us to possible go to Othard (like you mentioned). Most people who say it would be boring don't actually mean that, they just don't want Samurai.
I get it. Some people aren't fans of SAM, but it's such a highly requested job... as for selling points for other expansion's? There's plenty of more jobs to cover to sell the game COUGH COUGH GUNSWORD COUGH COUGH. And then people say DRK was the selling point for HW. Those people forget a gun job was also highly requested so getting 2 highly requested jobs is no different then HW.
