I would take monk all the way to 70 if this were the case. I hate keeping up stacks.

every DPS class has SOMETHING they need to keep track of, stacks(buffs), debuffs, or DoTs. (essentially the same mechanics of a short duration timer)

Even if they made them liek you say, it wouldnt be like what u said in that it will still have something to keep track of.

I have seen either in this thread some where or it was a similar thread that they had said during the fan fest the guy was a monk but had never said who the girl was. Now just recently someone has said that they said both of them in the video were monks, either someone had missed them saying both were monks or someone is assuming both were said to be monks. Now if both of them are monks which one of them is the one wearing the new monk artifact gear they had said the monk was wearing in the trailer?

Which means the girl is wearing whatever she wanted to wear, like what we can all do in the game, since we are in-depth analyzing a CGI 2 minute teaser trailer that wasn't meant to tease anything but the expansion itself.

I didn't watch the fan fest so I'm only going off what people have said was anounced during it in concern to stormblood. Just because they didn't show case new jobs in previous teaser trailers doesn't mean that they won't ever do it.

People still think it's Dancer? Wow I thought people got past that already. It's 2 monks get over it. Do you really want Dancer just to be another monk? Also they have never promoted a new job in a CGI trailer from what I can remember so why would they suddenly throw a dancer in there now... Also to the people saying about what she is wearing have you thought that a NPC has unique clothing? I know crazy because its almost like every scion besides papalymo and Yda has personal clothes which players don't have due to being a important NPC.

What makes the speculation tricky this time around is us not being sure whether we will get 2 or 3 jobs. If we get 3, it will obviously be a tank and a healer. If it is 2, it will most likely be a unique dps.

With that being said, the possibility of having 2 new jobs with one of them being RDM, I can only imagine the other one filling a niche like RDM did. RDM introduced a new caster option that features fast casting, melee twist and possibly some support via Refresh for MP regen. A melee dps dancer that buff like BRD/MCH doesn't feel all that intuitive. To be fair, SAM dps would offer a true STR feel for a dps wheras all the melee dpsers are too agile for that.

If you have the artbooks, you can see artist comments on some of the works. In particular with the artwork of Hraesvelgr, the design was done while thinking it was just a standard dragon model.

It's not been confirmed nor denied the female in red is a monk, however, I think I stated it elsewhere, it'd be in poor taste to have two different jobs sharing the limelight for Stormblood when the spotlight job is monk. As others have pointed out, there's not been an instance, yet, where a trailer has shown a new job, either.

In the end the discussion about dancer as a possible job is exactly the same about it being a Blue Mage because "reasons". I mean this whole thread is about the speculation of a shirt with the wildest reasons, yet somehow people that speculate that the girl is a dancer are the worst?

We dont know anything. They could turn around and make four new jobs (Red, Blue, Samurai, dancer) or we will only get two. Maybe the girl is a dancer but we wont get it as a new job. Or maybe we are all wrong and the next class is something completely different. But Yoshida wants some discussion for this so why are some people trying to stop it? Its really funny to read some speculation and as long as its without any hurtful comments why not just let people speculate whatever they want? And if its about wrong information one can still counter it but why try to be so aggressive about it?

I am happy about any class we get as long as its fun to play. At the same time I enjoyed reading all the reasons in this thread until it somehow turned away from being a funny, simple discussion to people putting others down for their opinions..If you dont think that its going to be class X because reason Y..well thats fine. But why try to change peoples mind? Why not ignore it and just post your own speculation about the next reveal? Its really sad. :/

It's not so much changing peoples' minds, but narrowing down the speculation. For instance, Yoshida shot down puppetmaster in an interview several months ago. He also kind of shot down the wild speculation of Sam Raimi, by saying Spider-man had more than one director. Then went on to say it related more to Spider-man's story. Well... his story happens to be closer to Blue Mage than Dancer. Peter Parker wasn't an aspiring Michael Flatley. He got bit by a spider and gained its powers. This thread is specifically asking what the Spider-man shirt means. Not what jobs do you think we'll get?

Speculation is all well and good, but so is context. Could we get dancer? Quite possibly yes. (Although I personally speculate that it doesn't relate to the shirt.) So we go back to a possibly inaccurate CGI trailer that doesn't even feature game play. Could Yda (or her sister) have knowledge of a dance-like fighting style? Yes. Could it be that Yda followed one path of a monk fighting style, while her sister followed another? Again, yes. Could it be that the CGI trailer isn't accurate in the least, and even the previous questions are reading too much into that? Yes. (I won't even address the possibility of Yda's tattoos being "hidden" under that necklace.) Would I like dancer? Sure, but I don't see how Spider-man relates. (I mean really... agility? That's it? He only got that because of the spider bite. So it's still a BLU imo.)

You do realize that even the people saying "not gonna happen" are also speculating? They're merely giving an opposing view as to what they see and hear. They know as much (or as little) as anyone else here; as it pertains to what's coming next.
