You're right, that was a single section of which i made about 4 or 5 posts, the rest of it counts it out and that just added yoshis thought process, the recent interview i was referring to was one in which he spoke of blue mage and how it might work at fanfest but i cant find the source right now because its 4am and i don't care to look for it also this is a speculation thread don't get so mad, at the end of the day if you want to believe blue mage is what it means then go ahead that's cool man.

who said i'm mad, i made a one sentence post. People have been saying some very very stupid things when it comes to BLU.... and Yoshi-P's idle musings 3 years ago doesn't mean we aren't getting BLU. Blue Mage has been heavily hinted at in game lore, Yoshi said the next job will be something iconic in line with FF's 30th anniversary(Blue mage/enemy skill/blue magic has been in more FF than RDM/Red magic). BLU is easily the most straight forward guess from the spiderman shirt. I've had to deal with so much "BLU won't work in FFXIV" bull. ALL jobs added to FFXIV have been changed to match the battle system, the mages are scaled down massively in this game (BLM only gets 3 elements, SMN has a chicken nugget for a summon), Yoshi literally just talked about having to change RDM from what he thought it should be to make it fit.

also everyone was expecting samurai, it makes too much game sense to not have sam tank, rdm dps and i dunno, dancer healer maybe? i'm not sold on that last one just yet but we'll see
i just cant see them sitting round the producers table thinking right guys we need to hint the new job with this shirt, lets do blue mage ok? wait... what if people instantly jump to the producer sam raimi? and think samurai? especially after you tell them you like that trilogy, the only reason to put in that reference is because they did it on purpose, if they wanted to seriously tease blue mage itd be something without an obvious reference to ANOTHER highly considered and sought after job
tldr: Samurai tank, red mage dps (cos of course it's already confirmed) and im hoping a healer too, maybe dancer or some sort of healer we havent heard of like AST was

blu got talked about as a concept in a recent interview and yoshida was considering how it would fit into the game, so its not gonna be blu just yet, yosida came out said he liked the original trilogy with sam director, theyre properly not adding 2 dps and nothing else that would be stoopid, the "slip up" tweet saying only 2 jobs, like they removed it within seconds cos it was a MISTAKE like if they accidentally leaked it was gonna be 2 jobs this xpac ONLY then why not just let it ride like oops we fucked up but there we are, so im going with 3 jobs, ppl supporting the blu theory cos there is a ton of blue mage references in xiv like names and stuff from xi, that already got confirmed in an interview a while ago that there was no connection directly like that just happened to be like that

Oh! Good, someone found the samurai spiderman figure...again. Yeah, still not a 'rock solid' argument for Spiderman = Samurai. I mean, it's not like that figure is one out of hundreds or...thousands. Oh wait, it is one figure out of thousands but its the one figure that confirms what you want so go ahead and post it I guess. But man, I wish people would stop with these reddit/imgur style posts that are just "IMAGE!" and that's their whole argument. No substance or anything to discuss, just an image. :V

I agree, I've made peace with my choice for BLU. If it's not BLU, oh well. If it is, neat. But at this point we're all just running around trolling eachother...so...idk, wait and see folks.
