The no relation part referred to the t-shirt itself.https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...oship_on_the/?
Yoshida straight up said it has nothing to do with the directors...soo, how is this Samurai related?
He also said the same regarding Scarlet Witch t shirt, that he wore it because he liked the character, during Las Vegas Fanfest.

Yup. He is the ultimate troll lol.
He must love reading this thread and the one on reddit haha. But it was the part about the directors which stuck out to me...anyway I guess we will see in 55 days (II think? the fanfest) in Germany ^^
The spiderman shirt makes much more sense as a clue for blue mage. Spiderman has probably one of the most famous origin stories of any super hero - he's bitten by a spider and receives spider-like powers.
Sam Raimi is a has-been director of a nearly 20 year old movie series... If it's a clue for Samurai it's a bad one that isn't in keeping with any of his other tshirt hints.
There are a lot of people who want/expect samurai who are suffering from confirmation bias.
In that reddit thread posted, he very clearly says that it is in regards to Spidermans (Spider Knights story if you want more whacky translating) story itself, not the director. Him talking about the director (because it's not like he has a mobile phone that he can go and lurk through reddit threads and see all this speculation in a moments notice) doesn't really prove anything but show he know how to use the internet to read fan-theories lol. Him emphasizing Spiderman's story itself kinda supports BLU even more. I still think it's not that deep.

Blue Mage would just start at 50 and already know all the monster abilities anyway.

I'm thinking Blue Mage.
Spiderman's costume is blue and red.
Spiderman gets his powers from another creature.
Blue and red is featured in the Stormblood trailer.
The new primal and beast tribe in Stormblood is outfitted in gear that resembles blue mage gear.
Meaningless, and not indicative of anything. I don't know if you know this, but FFXI didn't invent Blue Mage.
In addition, since this apparently needs saying... Remember a month ago when people were swearing up and down that Alisaie was in fact supposed to be a "teaser" for Red Mage? And that we'd be summoning energy swords? Remember when Raubahn went ape and killed people in Before the Fall and people were convinced that he would be our DRK job quest teacher from his jail cell / after we bust him out? Or at least that he, somehow, some way, had to be related to DRK because "well they wouldn't have put it in the story if it wasn't supposed to mean something!!"?
Remember how neither of those things panned out or really amounted to anything in the end?

I don't know if you know this (since you apparently did not read my statement), but I made NO mention of FFXI at all, so I have no clue why you are bringing it up.
Nice try, but the only game in the franchise where Blue Mages dress anything even close to the Ananta beast tribe is FFXI.
