who knows? I mean its possible theyd retract from never wanting to do that again, but its not like weirder stuff came out in the past like "rdm not gonna happen in this game because reasons"
Indeed, they were once said that red make is hard to fit in tank, healer, dps role. As RDM are support job in FF series.
Major in spells such as slow, paralyze, blind, phalanx and etc.
They made it happened now.
Besides, if battle system is changing, it might mean that Blue Mage could be able to become 1st multi-role job. (YouTube shows many of FF11 Blue Mage as Tank, DPS, or even Healer)

Im right there with you! Obviously the role system will limit a job, but its not impossible to get it to fit. And I'll always believe thatIndeed, they were once said that red make is hard to fit in tank, healer, dps role. As RDM are support job in FF series.

Regarding the release of Ninja as part of a patch and whether we could see something like that happen again, I was always under the impression the the stress on the development team was the result of working on four jobs within a limited time frame. I don't think they would have any issue with releasing a job during the 4.0 patch cycle if only two jobs had to meet the deadline for the expansion. Releasing three jobs for Stormblood is less work than what they had to do leading up to Heavensward and saving one job for a later patch would be even less work than that.

yeah i agree, but then it will be same thing making a job, and working on new ones for the next expansion coming the following year, etc. Its like this endless vicious cycle :/Regarding the release of Ninja as part of a patch and whether we could see something like that happen again, I was always under the impression the the stress on the development team was the result of working on four jobs within a limited time frame. RDM-Ranged Caster
SAM-Tank
BLU-Melee Caster
That will be it, I got a feelin' in me bones. It will be so

As much as im sure alot of people want sam, im leaning 50/50 Sam/Blu as tank. I prefer Blu myself. If they do indeed stick to the "Only 2 new jobs for stormblood." If they surprise us with 3, then im going:
RDM - Ranged DPS
DNC - Support Healer
BLU - Tank

When was dancer ever hinted? Just curious
