So I've been thinking about this and it has always been said that Blue Mage would just not work in a game like this. But what if Blue Mage learned its traditional abilities the same way every job does in FF14 instead? For example; it could have Goblin Punch at Lv1. Also Blue Mage could work similarly to Tanks in regards to stats; its damage capability could be bolstered by Piety! It could be DPS and have few healing abilities such as White Wind with long cooldowns. It could also have at least 1 ability for each element, such as Aqua Breath, Twister, Earth Shake, etc.
Just my 2 cents, anyway. Here's to hoping Blue Mage makes it someday!
