That already happens now anyway with the cross class system, it wouldn't really change much.
TBF, new jobs were locked behind getting ranks in prerequisite jobs in FFTactics, so having to level one job to get to another isn't without precedent.
well , didnt thought about that ^^
True, but that was for actual power purposes. Knight needed Squire because it was straight up stronger. :P
I don't really see a point in starting at level 1 again, but I'm not quite for the starting at 50 stick. While I can understand why they made the decision, I would prefer 30 to 50.
starting at lvl 1 makes no sense , since in this game classes starts at lvl 1 and jobs starts at lvl 30 , so it would be at least lvl 30 .
although id like it to be lvl 30 since it would mean more story <3 , you could say its an advanced job since its a mix between black and white magic, so you would need to be stronger to equip the jobcrystal, i can even see SE adding something like you need to have black and whitemage atleast at lvl 50 to get access to that job
Seems to be pretty common with other games, granted those are free to play "Must have level 100 of another character to play this class" or such. I mean they could easily make the requirment for the new jobs to be level 50 and own HW+SB. If you meet that then the new jobs will be available to switch too. I think for me just starting so high (even though I have all 60s, DoH/DoL included, minus like 2?) it just doesn't feel right to me. Plus if were going to have an influx of new people who are getting excited and jumping in, I know a fair amount of us will be playing the new jobs while the rest will continue on with their main classes, to me, seems odd if were all running the 50+ while all the newbies are just starting 15.
It's not super mandatory, though.![]()
