Did you even read my first post? I clearly stated that that does not work. I tried and did not work.

Hmm that is odd, you should just be able to hit Obey and it will ago attack the target.

Maybe try making a macro /pac "Obey" <t> or use Heel to make her drop target, she should then start attacking whatever you are.

This is what ended up working for me the best. Went into a11s with a PUG and BAM! My dps doubled when compared to other runs.

I've never encountered this issue either. Obey always works fine in its own for me.

You're doing something wrong, sorry to say. Switch targets and click Obey again, your summon always switches immediately to that target. I do this all the time in dungeons to focus on a certain mob, or on an add if the boss is invulnerable or there are more important things to burn down. The only Macros I have on SMN is a Swiftcast-Rez with announcement in party chat, and the same thing for E4E and Virus, minus the Swiftcast obviously. Only to prevent pointless doubling up though. I find Macros to be infinitely more of a hassle, or even getting in my way and hurting my overall DPS, rather than helpful. There would probably be a higher amount of better players if some didn't seem quite so dependent on macro-ing so much.

Hope for the best, don't see many main SMN's out there so it's nice to see them around. =)

well i used a pet-target macro as well back in the days - i used bio & wind blade.

bio cause it's insta cast and its part of your rotation - forces ruda to keep up with your current target every once in a while.
and even if you have to change a target manually out of the rotation its good to go cause the instant bio.

i actually agree with most of your comments - but there are macros which can be useful if you don't overdo it. f.e i really fall in love with the <t> tag in combination with area-attacks like flamming arrow on Brd or Shadowflare on SMN - the tag-update for aoes can really save important seconds. on the other hand (even i main Healer & SMN) i really really hate 90% of chat-macros... doesn't matter if res, e4e, virus and most of all i REALLY hate WARs macro if they go on rampage... "Heya using super sayajin power pls clean in blabla".... "prepare to clean in 5," "4" "3" "2" "1" "oh noes enemy is over 9000 HELP!!!!111".... gosh just fo x__X

but yeah to much macros are just waste of potential
