Fishing for CUL desynthsis

My fisher alt* is at Cul desynthsis Edit: 206+. Currently some white 1* fish are at Edit: 94%, and give .03 - .05 skillups. Berserker Betas and Capelin to name two.

Others, and most of the HW big fish are, at 45%. Some big fish are even worse.

Does anyone know of any fish in that desynth gap? Or at least other some easier to catch 1* whites? For the record I consider the Berserker Betas easy for fish of that level.

i190 Gnomefish at Qucikspill Delta have a very high catch rate now and are good up to d215-220. Past that point Amber Salamanders at Iron Feast from 3am-8am are the only i210 fish with a decent catch rate and with a little dedication will get you to d235-40. Past that...only i230 and i240 fish (the 3.4 big fish only) will be reasonable. I stopped at d237 and Amber Salamanders giving .03 and called it a day, hoping there might be something more efficient in 3.5.

Storm Chasers and Nyctosaurs at Tharl Oom Khash are another option since Storm Chasers bite instantly and often and Nyctosaurs are all day, unlike Amber Salamanders. They're not quite as good as gnomefish and salamanders though, since the Storm Chasers are i180 and Nyctosaur is much rarer than Amber Salamander and gets away more often.

I will try desynthing Storm Chasers tomorrow, I think I still have a few on a retainer. I know I have Nycsaurs.

You do gnomefish until d215-220, then switch over to Amber Salamanders after that. You can just sit there and fish with vendor (not scrip) bait all day long while you watch TV or whatever and get all the gnomefish you need. I got about 250 gnomefish while cruising youtube for a few hours.

And if you're not already, you should absolutely be using Tinker's Calm and Bacon Broth to get a +15% desynth rate.

I think thunderbolt eels still give skillups at that level but I forget what else.

Yeah they do, but storm chasers are so easy to catch without a lot of wasted bait. Script bait isn't a big deal for me, so I'll fish them to death lol. Then gnome fish after d200.
