When is the fan fest actually scheduled?

Makes sense that was what I was leaning on too, or maybe a boss but I don't know if they'd release minions and outfits to hype up just a boss though. The main theory I have is that it is because Yoshida said he wanted to add swimming to FFXIV and a while ago there was talk of adding blitzball to the gold saucer because apparently people liked that terrible minigame for some reason. Swimming, water, and Blitzball were pretty major themes in the world of FFX. That's the connection I'm speculating on.
After the flop that was Lord of Verminion. I'll be very hesitate if they attempt another overdeveloped mini-game. Even if I loved Blitzball in FFX.The main theory I have is that it is because Yoshida said he wanted to add swimming to FFXIV and a while ago there was talk of adding blitzball to the gold saucer because apparently people liked that terrible minigame for some reason. 8pm EST, I believe.
I have literally just started FFX after never having played it when it came out.
I *loathe* blitzball. The game itself is neat, but I don't understand the player roster and special moves and stuff. If they add it, I really hope they make that part more understandable.
Also I want Aymeric on my team![]()
At what time does Fan Fest Start EST? It's already the 24th in Japan.
It's nearly 3AM in Tokyo, they're about 14-15 hours ahead of eastern and central America. I'd imagine we'd start hearing stuff at around 5-6PM EST.
Schedule is on a blog post.

Yes it is actually the 23rd. Not the 24th. Although after seeing the date in-game saying it was 24th-25th I thought I may have oops'ied out of excitement lol.
I did some more reading into the subject, and I'm pretty sure water could have the same life-sustaining properties in XIV now. From FF VII UltimaniaThough I'm not entirely sure how the same sport would work in FF XIV since the people in Spira could only stay underwater for a long time because water is a magnet for pyreflies and they basically keep people from drowning (this was in the JP only Ultimania guide. it's related to why Yuna could walk on water too). I'm not sure if aether could work the same way
Q:"When you speak of the dead becoming [something] green, do you perhaps
[mean]......?"
Nojima:"Yes. In my mind, pyreflies and VII's Lifestream are the same substance."
Kitase:"Nojima-san's even considering making use of an idea like this -[with] an
addition to the idea of life origin -- in a sequel to FFX International.
That's just a little bit of the thought that's been going into what to do with
VII."
Nojima:"That's right. There's something like the Lifestream [in X's world
also]......."
FF XIV has a lifestream too so I guess it's all about the same thing and we CAN in fact play water soccer.
