I find I only hit the limit when I'm getting heated with someone and the threads beginning to derail because of us. Dunno if that's the only reason but I've seen enough edits saying they hit the limit while arguing with someone to know I'm not the only one lol.
There's a limit?
Everyone has a post limit. This stemmed from the beta days of the game where the forums opened to feedback, but the lovely community kept trolling, causing flame wars, and everything else under the sun. Ergo, this is why we cannot have nice things.
That would open the floodgates for all sorts of people. No thanks.
Yes please x.x
You don't even need to get into a heated debate - you just need to be fairly active in several topics.
When I log on, there are usually 20-30 threads I'd like to reply to again, which would already bring me over the daily threshold,
and that's not even counting all the new topics that have popped up since the day before, random help requests and questions and the like.
I very often find myself in the situation where I have to decide between making a point I consider important or answering someone's question.
I absolutely hate that. And, even worse, when someone answers MINE (or clarifies something for me), I can't even "waste" a reply on a simple "thank you".
Maybe not removing it entirely, but it should be way, way higher
Since we are talking about limits to the forum already...can we please, PLEASE get rid of the 1000 characters limit?
I know, I know, we can edit and all, but it's just annoying to have to go through that EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. And that's not even counting the fact that many people do NOT know that and we get 6 posts in a row and stuff like that.
