I've wanted a gunblade to appear again since FFVIII. I can't stand MCH's RNG nature though. I get the concept you're coming from though, with loading the revolver part of the blade and all for extra damage. That's pretty cool. The turrets kind of throw it off too and gunblades didn't have any kind of support that comes with what MCH is.

Oops forgot to include the increase to RNG chance from 50% to 80%.

As for the Turrets well got to blame the Garleans for that. One thing noticed about Garleans and their Gun"weapon" combat style is that sometimes they love having Turrets to support them no matter the form of Hands, basic turrets, or etc.
