    If i were to make sence out of some of these for realistic purposes, i would say...

    -Removal of gil from guildleves or any other means
    Because guildleves are just money being thrown into the game from nowhere, if we were only able to get gil from selling crap to npc's then theres more of a justification where our gil came from, the mobs.

    -Airship pass for 500,000 gil or a fetch quest that takes 7 real life hours to do
    This is just being traditional, but, i want to add Why is the ride free? and You can add the boat in here too, why is it free? Whos pays the driver and the upkeep of the vehicles? SE?

    -Can't equip other classes' abilities
    This would make for less customization, but more variety for players choises on what to play.

    -9 1/2 minute wait to get on each and every airship linking the 3 cities
    This already sounds like the future, cept the airship dont land in all 3 citys. There are airship landing docks in Thanalan and La Nocea and one inside Gridania, we can assume they that will be the connection, and possibly going to Ishgard when it opens.

    -Removal of aetherite plazas and guildleves
    A lot of people do dislike the practically free tele everyone gets, thought im neither in or against it, its nice, but i would rather be choco'ing or riding an airship... But even in XI i did level up /blm for warp. People also miss the need to find a WHM to get somewhere, haha. People still shout in town for warps, so no differance there. And the leves are somewhats of a nuisence, trying to get them all done for casual players, and try to do something else. I find leves to be long and boring, and i have no time for anything else, so i would not mind if they took them away. I know you can tell me, well just dont do them then, but i dont like to pass up easy sp and gil, haha.

    -Skillpoints reduced to 100 for even match enemies defeated and capped at 450 for full parties
    The only reason i can see for this is that, part of an RPG is the mindless grinding. And we put as much time as we want for what we want. But it shouldnt be easy as pie to get a class to cap. Not like it is real easy right now, some people would argue that we get too much sp atm. Maybe i just dont get to play much (cough, cough, earthquake) but ive been here since beta and i only have 1 class at cap, and im fine with that cause im enjoying the game.

    -Party flag feature and party range reduced to + or - 2 levels
    We all want an easier way to find a party, but not having party flag forces you to resort to other measure, which is awesome. No more trying to find the people who are flagged and not afk, haha.

    -Level caps at levels 30, 40, and 50 with difficult 6 member party quests to do to unlock them
    This would give us something more to do, when people are complaining about no content for the game, making quests like this would be that something to do.

    -Mailbox added with 8 mail slots total
    We all want this, would make a lot of things easier.

    -Mog House added
    Its always fun to play house! And your own private plush toy to watch over your garden.

    -First city of the new expansion requires a 10 hour quest just to unlock and must take ferry there for a 15 minute boat ride
    That is the real question... will they open the gates to Ishgard to everyone, or will it be accessable only after completeing the R52 storyquest(mission).

    -Weapon upgrade quests that require you to go to a far away area on foot and wait 5+ days for a weather effect to appear while you kill a certain type of enemy
    This is rather silly, but liek i said above, it would add more content to the game.

    -Endgame gear collection area that you can run twice a week with 15 people and that drops 6 pieces of gear total, 1 million gil entry fee
    We all want end game zones, for alliance stuff, the new Dynamis ;p All in good time in sure.

    -Removal of map icon and journal updates for quests
    That would just force people to either figure things out on their own, ask a friend, or goto ffxivwiki ;p

    -Random cutscenes enabled in a random place on the world map once a random quest is flagged
    Again, more content.

    That's funny because even though I can't remember what in particular, I remember saying to myself during the first weeks that I played XIV that many features were greatly improved over XI.

    Obviously, that was before the lack of combat and content depth hit me but still, it shows that the wave of negativity around the game has made us forget about some of the good things it brought up

    i agree with with you LuciBlack, just have to add some things that came into my mind. Im happy you acutally commented on the post rather then just saying "no i dont like it"

    a good game can be realistic without time sink of 10 min. Just have 1 or 2 more airships arriving and you have 3 minutes.
    Or have an eorzean VIP service (other name ofc) for more money get you to your destination faster. or at the time you want. (the game needs more money sinks anyways - does it have any atm at all?...) - lol perhaps even lounge access for frequent flyers )

    -Removal of aetherite plazas and guildleves

    I don't like the guildleves either, they can be replaced by mini-quests completely (the mini-quests atm are not more then that but they at least give the feeling of you interacting with the world rather then just pop cards).
    The aetherite plazas can stay, i think you could weave in some other storylines around these areas. - look into the past, or future, interact with npcs in the past or future to understand the world better... something like that.

    Im all for great questlines to open up content, but difficulty > timesink ALWAYS. If the 10 hrs are full of fun, excitement, and challenges, tactics, would be awesome!!!! (shoudl be devided a bit in parts so casual players can get it as well as a hardcore gamers).
    Difficulty and variety is what mmos are missing in general these days. No mmo atm is really hard, the longer you are there even if you are an all-time-drunk and the biggest retard ever you can be the "guy with the epic gear". Give us challenge, no 15 minute boat ride... at least no boat ride that offers no challenge. A boat ride that is full of nice fights, where you forget about the time, im all for that. but no time sink.

    same thing. The time-sink-wait and then get great gear isnt a good game concept. Even if i didnt have a job... why waste the time waiting... wow ... just imagine you being 90 and think about what you did with your life and realize that 30-40 years of the 90 you waited for some pixles to pop... i think i would die instantly lol

    If quests offered challenge the markers would be no problem at all. Atm the quest are mostly mindless and offer no challenge, but what does "no marker" add to this?, ok you take some more time to do the boring stuff... doesnt make it better though.

    I'd hate to think that Loyalty Mode would give FFXI players a disadvantage. That's what you were implying right? It's just that I've heard a lot of things FFXI players want and I say reward them for their time spent in FFXI. Some may think of that reward as a disadvantage but I think many would see it as a glorious blessing.
