They may also have the word "motion" after the emote if they are typing it out.
/comfort
-emote + chat log message
/comfort motion
- emote and no chat log message
Wow holy crap, I never even noticed that. XD
Thank you! Now I guess I can use emotes more often without feeling like I'm getting on peoples nerves!

>saying AFK'ers make the servers lag whilst playing on gilgamesh, the 2nd most packed server, AFK'ers or not.
you truly want no server lag? go to a dead server. Lmao. There's no difference between going AFK and someone who is actively online 24/7 which there are a lot of.
even on Gilgamesh, I don't really see afk players causing lag, but they DO contribute to us not getting a larger character inventory.

At least that's what I infer from Yoshi's statement that "We have the most data per character. Every 15 seconds we take a backup of every player’s data. This is good for players because if the servers crash there is no rollback. Every 15 seconds we are updating that data. Increasing the inventory also increases the amount of data we send back to the servers to save every 15 seconds. What we could do is extend that time from every 15 seconds to five minutes we can add more data, but what happens then is if the servers crash there is the threat of rolling back player data and players losing some data."
Or maybe thinking that 'more players = more work on the backup system' is flawed logic and unrelated
What was this thread about again? E-mote spam? Oh yeah, but I hate those DRG and WHM skill spammers at the MB even more
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I know a few PS4 users who have to afk 10 or so hours because PSN has maintenance at around 5 or 6 pm (although sometimes they do maintenance later like around 9 or 10pm) and if said player doesn't make it online by then, they won't be able to play until the maintenance is over. The maintenance takes hours to finish.
When the game first came online they did have the auto kick. But people found ways around it.
You got this wrong, this limit is based on a static number which is the max number of characters online at the same time on a sever, max active characters per server, not current active characters, this max will be the same with or without afkers.
Afkers only hurt people with very low end PCs on crowded areas, and with queues after big updates, but SE enables autokick for that.
