    Most classes have or had a second weapon anyway (Gla had Swd + Dag, etc). I get that it wouldn't be efficient when each GC offers a different level 40 and 50 weapon for every single job, but if they spread them out more, it wouldn't be so bad. 20-24 different types of weapons doesn't HAVE to be too many... Ifrit wouldnt have to drop one for each job.

    Anyway, that idea has been dismissed and dissolved long ago. Just felt like reminiscing.

    That's why I said ALMOST always. :P There are some classic jobs whose weapons are already implemented, but then there's the problem of attaching those jobs to existing classes that already have jobs. So you have to give every class another job, and still add a few new classes to cover the weapons that are absent, each of which will need at least 2 jobs as well.

    'Cuz you know everyone would rage if Gladiator branched off into Paladin, Red Mage, and Blue Mage, for example, and Conjurer only got White Mage.

    1 : 1 ratio is the best idea. everything esle is just confusing.

    Want to add another job? then add another weapon/class. 1 :1 is the way it should be IMO.

    Its silly to have ARC branch off into 12 different things. I want different class/jobs that feel different not an ARC with 12 jobs that play mostly the same.

    If SE is gonna add new jobs then do not half ass it. Create new weapons, classes, and lore to go with it. Half assing crap is what got us a free year of a half assed game.

    I can see 2 jobs perhaps 3 at the most. I think 2 is about right though, then they can add more classes and give them 2 jobs. I do like the idea of at least 2 jobs per class though, which I am sure will be implimented eventually. A choice of 2 different jobs would add alot of diversity to each class.

    I agree. Anything more than 2 is overkill, and I think some jobs should be shared between classes. That way it's kind of like each class has two specializations, and each job has two specializations. Wanna be a support Archer? Go Bard. Wanna be a DD Archer? Go Ranger. Wanna be a dagger and flute bard? Branch off from rogue. Wanna be a Ranger with a gun? Branch it off from musketeer. And likewise, Rogue could go to Bard or Thief, Musketeer could go to Ranger or Gun Mage, etc. I think it would add a perfect amount of diversity.

    As long as there is a journey, I'm happy. I decent length journey for whatever class/jobs you want, to get to the "end-of-the-game". I didn't really like an old idea of any job can be "equipped" on any class, but I don't really like that 1 job "can" be equipped on 1 class. A job being able to be equipped on a couple different jobs sounds interesting to me though. I could roll with that.
