Back after a break.... Dungeon questions.

So I've been back for about a week now. But I haven't jumped into any dungeons again yet.

Just wondering, have thing shaped up? Or do people still try to force speedruns or whatever?

And do they still get crabby when your new to a dungeon? Since I know I'll be unlocking some dungeons from 50-60

People do try to force speedruns still, but they're a lot more lenient during leveling dungeons (Such as level 51-60). Main reason is that the level cap dungeons (50 and 60) allow you to overgear the item level significantly, making it fairly easy to speedrun. And if you CAN speedrun it, why wouldn't you? For the leveling dungeons though, you can be at most 1 level above the entry requirement. And while they can certainly be done with gear one level below the dungeon, that's still not a big ilvl increase... and a lot of people don't upgrade their gear as they level. So, people tend to understand during the leveling dungeons that it's likely either the tank won't survive, the healer won't be able to heal fast enough, or the DPS won't be able to kill the monsters before the tank and healer run dry.

As far as people getting crabby, in my experience people tend to be lenient if you mention beforehand that you're new.

yes, people will always speed run, it's not forced since most groups can handle it.

i've never seen anyone have a problem with new players.

Just mention at the beginning that you're the newb. If some are dicks, they'll kick you in the beginning (you don't want to run with those types anyway lmao), but in my experience, people can be fairly patient in the leveling dungeons/trial roulettes so long as you warn them ahead of time. Like, I unlocked Sephirot, and when I queued for trial roulette, that's the one I got LOL. Was not prepared at all, but I warned everyone, and I think the healers kept an extra eyeball on me during it, because I did very poorly, but still didn't die. XD Lots of people are quite happy to see the bonus message pop up since it doesn't happen much anymore.

Make sure to let the party know if you have questions or need tips for boss mechanics. You should be fine! Most people will be friendly and helpful. You can always put up a PF and offer your bonus, people always need bonuses for their Tails these days.

People always like speed runs. But just let them know you are new. People love newbies for that WT bonus.

It's easy to heal the new dungeons after a break. Your first tank can pull all groups to the boss room and because they are not taking damage the healing is really easy. That was how it was for me when I came back after a break, slow pulling is so annoying now cause you know you can deal with more then that .
