It's not even that bad of a game. It's just so slow! I don't need to see EVERY SINGLE TILE move goddamnit, just put everything into position!
Yes. (Referring to OP)
Or something/anything. There is nothing more unrealistic than a world without any recreational activity. People aren't always working at something like mindless robots.
This is one of few threads I agree with bumping. ^^
If they introduce a card game, I'd rather them take their time to create something a lot more intricate than Triple Triad. It was about as shallow as a card game could get.
Thread revival for the win, I want this so bad.
I think an interesting idea for collecting cards of particular mobs could be you use a blank enchanted card (made by crafting of some kind) on mobs after weakening them to 'capture their spirit' before you kill them. Have boss cards like Ifrit be a random drop at the end of the fight though so people don't try and mess around with cards mid-fight lol.
An added suggestion for people that want nothing to do with a card game, have the cards in an entirely seperate inventory tab (think like what shards/crystals are now), and have the option to switch off the display of card drops in the chat log. Simplez.
For the record, Tetra Master > Triple Triad.

Chronobind from FFXIII-2, I've spent hours playing it. Add in collectable card decks to the mix and adjust balancing. I think you have a winner.
Even if it was a simple or "shallow" game, it was still tons of fun when I played FF8, and I spent along time playing it and I wouldnt mind a time killer like that again. Fun things doesnt need to mean its gotta be groundbreaking and new. Just FUN^^
I've made this suggestion before about making it so that you can set up a table (similar to the DoH magically making their workbenches appear) and people that are walking by can see that you are waiting for a challenge and challenge you... That and having preexisting tables set up in areas around the cities.
Anyways, please SE... please
When all else fails, Heck the Bed.
