I see no problem with adding more ways to get top gear(that take skill)... I don't agree with removing current raiding even if it is memory based. I also find memorizing my battles boring. So I feel OP a bit

I am guessing this is a troll post;
in case it isn't just a simple question: why would you need the best gears if you're not raiding? is that any other form of content that requires you to have the best gears?
i think we didn't get enough feeding to the troll already asking her why would she need the best gear if there's no use for, so I'm asking it too: why?![]()
Besides the fact you're putting forth no real argument or position of any substance....
Uhhh.... tomestones + upgrade items in 3.5 - highest ilvl gear without raiding.
They really need to take some notes from XI and diversify the end-game. Not that raiding isn't fun/shouldn't be rewarded - it's just a little boring in comparison to being able to plan a different event each night for an FC like back in XI.
Diadem had potential but was botched - maybe they can fix it, they haven't said much about what they plan to do so I'm not sure they understand why it didn't work in the first place.
My hopes for 4.0 right now primarily rest on Eureka being something new/different/worthwhile.
Yeah, I gotta agree. Each expansion offered two or three endgame activities that provided top-notch gear - and since most of those expansions had the same level cap of 75, by the time they got to Wings of the Goddess there were nearly a dozen different endgame activities that were all providing loot that was still relevant to the game.They really need to take some notes from XI and diversify the end-game. While this game may never see that, I don't think it'd be out of the question to diversify a bit, change up the formula so that trial weapon -> early raids -> supplement with tome gear -> later raids isn't the only way to gear to max.
I was going to reply at the thread but this post just basically sums up what I was gonna say. I only raided in ARR (worst PvE experience ever) but I had my entire gear fully upgraded to raid level way before even joining.
In 3.5 we'll get our upgrades so, not sure the complains. If anything raiding just isn't rewarding because why bother when you can get already the best gear without it?
This is a valid topic. They presented an opinion which can lead to discussion. OP didn't say they don't want challenging content, just that raids aren't fun for them and there's no alternative for the best gear. It's ok to challenge the idea of what an mmo should be and think of ways to innovate. If a minority participate in raids, is it right to keep allocating the same budget to them? Or if raids stay, how could the format be modified to increase enjoyment? What alternative kind of content could be added for providing a different style of endgame challenge and max level gear rewards? I was thinking maybe a survival mode kind of arena with wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies, which would be impossible to survive forever but you just see how long you can last, and there can be gimmick power-ups to use and conserve for the right moments.
The likes between the first and second post are a hilarious ratio.
