Making less raids (which probably require a lot of testing) could probably free up resources for more story, more original fun-oriented content etc, but the real thing standing in the way of more people seeing how rewarding raiding can be is logistics.

Primarily because of logistics, it is not something you can just try, unfortunately, meaning that regardless of how good it is it still means a considerable asset is going to waste. It shouldn't be a controversial thing to say that overall raid content is a significantly wasted service, as least as far as the Creator is concerned (I would point to Midas Savage as being an explicit waste of money; but apart from Midas Savage I'm just saying rollout and takeup are suboptimal).

A native voice implementation, a restructure of the reward system, and a heavily rewarded raid roulette to increase the raiding population would probably go a long way towards benefiting both the company and the clientele.

Given that the Party Finder reforms in 3.5 seem like they'll be a good push towards that, the situation might change before 4.0 though. Now I just need some more linkshells so I don't have to waste so many on raiding etc.
