With Diadem being closed for the few months from 3.5 till the new version is released. Will there be a way to obtain the materials for crafting/gathering/potions during the closure?

probably not, i would suggest stockpiling them.
Wow... seriously? So if I want to make another Anima Relic I won't be able to during the time it's closed? That's bull-malarkey. -_-
Yea you will. You can buy the items that you need for 5,000 Grand Company Seals (each) instead of having to farm Diadem for materials. What you won't be able to do, is make all the OTHER crafted items that rely on Diadem materials, because (unless they add them to exploratory missions) there is no other way to get the materials.

It's more that those who want the pegasus won't get it.
I suspect everything currently in the Diadem will be moved to the upgrade they release in 3.5.
Where is this info about the Diadem closing coming from? I haven't seen anything saying that.
If it is closing they should honestly just drop the difficulty a bit and let people go in solo. You could still have the large bosses but it would require people to group and work together inside which could be kind of cool to find people once and awhile to do one. It would be cool to go in there with our chocobos and do some leveling/gathering, plus it would be a good way to get some materia and items.I mean at this point if you don't have a party getting in Diadem is a real chore and the wait times are an hour plus.

They close that crap? o_O
Then I hope they give optional NON-grindy ways to get the materials and Pegasus mount for other players! >_>
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
