Simply put, its a game for those who wish to experience 1.0 story firsthand. Updated UI and combat system similar to the current game with Derplander and friends as the protagonist.

Did they even save the assets from 1.0? And why would they even bother considering how suddenly 1.0 ended?
HRNNGGGHHH fack that mobile crap. Either put it on this gens consoles, portables, or steam with Final Fantasy 14 1.0 graphics. That would be awesome. Mobile Single Player game, Pfffffft.
As someone with huge regrets over not being there to experience 1.x firsthand, if this were somehow possible, I'd be SO here for this. I even have a rather huge soft spot for the WoL and his friends, so I'd love to be able to play them as the protags.
I'd actually really like this. As terrible as everyone says 1.0 was, still kind of wish I could have experienced it.

As one of those who's played this game since V1 closed beta there are aspects of V1 I've missed, some things were superior in V1 such as an almost entirely 'zone load screen'-free world, I always thought the whines about 'cut/paste world building' were silly the ARR zones are claustrophobic in comparison. I miss the REAL ferry.
I miss the settlement invasions (I forget what they were called), I miss being able to level up without having to go through forced-group gating, etc. etc.
