Place the pillar down. When lined up against walls, you'll notice that the pillar doesn't actually collide with the floor, but floats just barely above it.*
Moving the pillar around, picking it up and placing it down does not fix this issue.
*Note that the gap may not be visible unless you are deliberately looking for it; and/or being a Lalafell.
EDIT: Had a couple FC members take a look into it; Unless you are either a lalafell or sitting down with the rest of the races, it is pretty much unnoticeable until pointed out.
