- "We don't need more tanks/more sword wielding tanks". Why not? It is like said "we don't need more DPS". Plus, peopel is asking for RED MAGE as tank. They uses swords too.

No, it's not, at all. It's like if there were currently 3 DPS total, 2 of which had swords, 1 of which had a different weapon and instead of adding another job that uses a different weapon that isn't a sword... you added another sword wielder. That's really boring. If I wanted to wield a sword as a tank I already have 2 options, I have 0 options for any other weapon as a tank except axe. Even a sword wielding DPS would be okay, because at least it's a sword wielder that goes into another role that isn't tank. I also don't like RDM as a tank unless they gave it a different weapon, especially since we already have DRK which currently fills the mix between magic and physical.
