Well Red Mage is the DPS Job so guessing Samurai is the Tank
It is all about the swag with Red Mage

Just wanted to throw my two cents in the whole "make Samurai a tank in 40" debate.

SAM should not a be a tank, I said this before in my other thread I made *Cause I DIDN'T SEE THIS ONE GRR* is that, they said already that balancing 3 tanks were hard enough for them, adding 4 would just be a nightmare for them. If they make this class overpowered, everyone would take SAM class over the other and if its underpowered, nobody would play it. And remember doing that time it was always WAR/Drk doing the raiding scene cause paladins were crap leaving them in the dust, they made to make a FIGHT just for paladins alone for them to shine in but in the end. There's a reason why 47% people play drks and 28% play paladins.
When you see someones glamour with non matching boots
My guess is that the 2 jobs infos should not have been shared cause people would get upset and a trainee got fired ^^"
For the SAM, lets make everyone happy by not making him a tank or a DPS but a healer instead![]()
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
By this logic they shouldn't have added DRK at all then, since when the game re-launched, Warriors were crap and left in the dust until SE fixed them. It's called balance, and it will always shift and change and it's never perfect. People will usually always gravitate towards the stronger jobs, or ones that are easier to play, or more interesting, or thematically cool. You say they had to make a fight just for PLD to shine, yet plenty of endgame HW bosses were seemingly specifically designed to make DRK shine, almost like they wanted people to play the new job more...how about that.
