If samurai is coming for 4.0, its too late to make suggestions. They are probably too far long with it to change it now.

How can you tell someone to not speak for the community, yet you just did?
I'm another one of those who doesn't consider NIN to be a sword DPS, those are daggers and maybe some short swords here and there but mostly daggers so no, I'm sorry but this is not a sword DPS class (least not from the POV of one random NIN player). I agree with others also wanting an actual sword wielding DPS, it would definitely be nice if SAM could fill this role though I'll probably play it regardless just because it being SAM. For the moment all I am waiting for is to at least see the other 2 t-shirts Yoshida could possible wear and then do my little panic dance as I wonder (if SAM gets 'confirmed') if it'll be a tank or a DPS
i am thinking about a samurai tank with a Kanabo as weapon. samurai, tank, another blunt weapon to increase monk's utility (monk's can lower the blunt resistance of enemys). then it's not even a second two hander sword tank...
but yeah... a samurai without a katana? why even bother implementing? xD
Imo Sam should be a tank.
Pld and Drk are basically the same.
Lower dps tanks.
Pld: physical res
Drk: magic res
War: purely dps with self heal
Sam: will be the same as War without self heal but with something new.
Basically pld/drk are the same so War need something like it a purely dps tank and Sam would work just right.
There alot of other jobs that can fit into dps why take Sam and make it a dps then. Sam would be a 2nd main OT giving War a fight for OT job.

If you want Sam to be a dps what would they make as the tank job then.
To me War is a tank but it feel more like a dps. In the end I believe Sam will be the same.
I want it to be a dual job set-up like sch/anc with tank/dps. :3
