which configuration belongs to what character

A lot of character configuration information is stored locally on all client versions.

On the Windows PC version, the data is saved in a directory (folder) with a name as follows:

    C:\Users\<user directory>\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\FFXIV_CHRxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx\

<user directory> is the directory (folder) established for your Windows account ID by Windows.

The xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is a 16 digit Hexadecimal number which I assume to be a character identification number established by SE when you created the character in FFXIV.

The character identification number does not change if you change your character name or do a world transfer. This means your full character configuration will still be there if you do one of these changes at the Mog Station

The only problem is there does not appear to be any way to easily determine which one of these directories belongs to which character. It would be nice if you could easily find a way to determine the character name and world name on which that configuration directory (folder) was last used.

This character configuration data is NOT deleted if you delete the character. This can make for a lot of clutter if you have a need to create and delete characters for some reason.

Has anyone found a way to easily find out what character name and world name a given character ID number (that 16 digit hexadecimal number) belongs to?

(The Playstation versions do have a way to do this. I only have this problem on the Windows PC version. It may also exist on the Mac version, but I don't have a Mac so I don't know)
