Best server for activeness?

So I just started playing this past weekend and I am loving the game except for there are not a lot of people on when I am which I can understand this because I'm stationed in Japan atm so the time difference is huge, but I'm trying to find an active NA server around the times of 1am to 6 or 7 am NA time. That time is normally 5pm to 10pm or 11pm my time in Japan.

So should I be on a Japanese server or just stay with an NA server and find an active one?

There are a lot of Australia / NZ people on the Japanese servers, so you might have better luck there. Malboro has people on but it's pretty quiet during that time.

So if go to a Japanese data center can I still play in English? Also is Gilgamesh really packed? Thanks for the quick replies

Yes, the server you play on does not effect the client language. If you are living in japan, it's probably a good idea to play in a Japanese data center. Although the players themselves will mostly speak Japanese.

Isn't Tonberry the Japanese server most Aussies and Kiwis play on?
I think that's the one anyway... You'll find a lot of English speakers there.
