    4.0 (Or 3.5) Tank Changes

    These are some changes to tanks (mostly DRK and PLD) that I thought would be interesting.

    DRK:

    Dark Passenger:
    Dark Dance effect: Blind
    Dark Arts effect: 250 potency

    Sole Survivor:
    If cast on a party member, everytime the party member takes damage a small portion of the caster's MP will be restored (less than Blood Price). Effect lasts for 30 seconds.

    Clemency:
    Instant cast oGCD with a 20 second cooldown.
    Shield Oath Effect: Cure Potency of 1400.
    Sword Oath Effect: Restores 180 TP, if cast on a party member the caster has 90 TP restored.

    Divine Veil: No longer requires a heal to activate, and cannot be deactivated by a heal. Range increased to 20 yalms.

    Nerfing Blood Weapon, Dark Passenger, and not understanding that Dark Knight needs buffs to Dark Dance in a different manner just proves how little you know about the Job. Clemency restoring TP is completely unneeded unless they throw another juggernaut boss like the Manipulator at us, and the Divine Veil buff is unneeded, the range increase might be nice though.

    Edit: If you want Dark Knight to function better as an off-tank, all they need is one ability added: Shadow Spikes.

    Code:
    Shadow Spikes
    Cast: 3s
    Recast: 2.5s
    MP Cost: 884
    Coats target party member or self in a layer of vicious spikes.
    These spikes deliver an attack with a potency of 10 every time physical damage is suffered for 30 minutes.
    If cast on a party member, potency is halved, however any parries or blocks performed by the party member will act as if the Dark Knight had parried the attack.
    Can only be active on one target at a time.
    If you wanted to go one step further, just remove the PvP requirement to Sole Survivor's secondary effect.

    The only buff I agree with is the range increase to Divine Veil. Otherwise, no.

    I feel that changes to dark knight should be to make it more desirable in the off tank position, not further solidify it as the most wanted main tank.

    Crazy/untested idea here, but what if you could apply Blood Price to a party member at the cost of a longer recast time? Maybe even a cooldown like "Echo of the Abyss" where you put it on a party member and your Blood Price/Low Blow/Reprisal can trigger when they get hit or parry? It fits the theme of a Dark Knight protecting the weak and innocent.

    I think that'd work since losing out on procs is one of the main reasons why Dark Knight avoid off-tanking.

    Ehh no while I agree Drk needs more supportive abilities since they only have Delirium and Reprisal those changes you listed are just undesirable. You took away DPs blind effect? Why? That's just bad and made DD to 120 secs which is also not needed at all.

    Divine Veil is the only change that is okay the rest are just not very good.
