    Under your main menu and under config there is a setting to limit FPS to 30. It has greatly reduced the fan noise coming from my PC, and my room isn't as hot either!

    Off course it does reduce the fan noise, because limiting the framerate greatly lower your GPU charge. What's the point however of buying a high end graphic card if you end up limiting the framerate?
