Say what you want, believe it or not i get a lot of rec and friend invite because they said its rare to see AST know what are they doing

i said aoe bole, i didnt said single bole on dps, and in case you misunderstand i should type it as "either aoe bole or balance" AST card draw are random afterall and aoe bole is better than aoe ewer for example, unless you want me to do aoe spire?

And dps do get hit too you know, nothing wrong with aoe bole, single bole on dps? Now that one yes i agree with you there.

Side note for you: Don't take AST in Level 50 Roulette, you and your team will hate the job for its inability to contribute to AoE damage until level 52. White Mage is the best option there.

I've done tons of 50 roulettes and neither me nor any of my party members have hated the job. If they did, they did a really good job at hiding it.

Agreed. AoE Bole is the kind of situation that you will almost never, ever have when you could actually use it. Partly because it almost never makes a real difference. If I were somehow stuck with a Bole and had an Expanded RR with no Redraw and no Spread available, I'd sooner click off the RR and give the full-strength Bole straight to the tank. And that's if I didn't decide instead to click off the Bole on Draw and preserve my RR for the next Draw.

As for why AoE Bole is so incredibly niche, see why SCH's Sacred Soil gets almost no use outside of specific raid mechanics, and even then typically only during progression.

if i have balance card in my spread off course i do that, that is why i type it "card (spread)" in my previous post because ast card chance is all RNG based.

basically from what i see, how you play AST card (and the combo) is depend on what card you draw, i've seen AST only draw 2 or 3 balance in the whole dungeon run while another one keep drawing nothing bole and balance

no worries we AST have one too, it called Collective Unconscious and we cant do anything while the spell is active lol

I'll take my buffs+disable over diminishing return Holy anyday of the week. If I give balance to literally any DPS, let alone the whole party, I'm pretty sure it will outpace the now very nerfed Holy. And that's not counting any of the other benefits that the cards can bring. This is coming from someone who has both classes at 50. Now if it was prenerf Holy, I might agree with you.

Highly doubtful. Ast at 50 is garbage in dungeons, whm holy contributes more then buffing party members with cards you may or may not even draw, let alone set up an expanded royal road every trash pull. Shroud+ holy and i'm going to out damage melee dps, add PoM and i'm probably going to out dps the casters too.

well what if his first heal class is AST, cant help about it =/

yes we cant do awesome AOE but we still do what healer originally do you know, since when the quality of healer now is depend on their AOE damage?

AST at 50 dungeon is fine, we lack the AOE yes but straight garbage? geez guys you set your standard way too high

I found it was always nice to stance dance between pulls, putting up shields before aggro, and then switching to regen right before engaging enemy. That way tanks can have stoneskin and noct shields at the start of each fight, and then regens can follow there after. Usually made for smoother pulls and more time to DPS during them.
