Agreed. AoE Bole is the kind of situation that you will almost never, ever have when you could actually use it. Partly because it almost never makes a real difference. If I were somehow stuck with a Bole and had an Expanded RR with no Redraw and no Spread available, I'd sooner click off the RR and give the full-strength Bole straight to the tank. And that's if I didn't decide instead to click off the Bole on Draw and preserve my RR for the next Draw.

As for why AoE Bole is so incredibly niche, see why SCH's Sacred Soil gets almost no use outside of specific raid mechanics, and even then typically only during progression.

if i have balance card in my spread off course i do that, that is why i type it "card (spread)" in my previous post because ast card chance is all RNG based.

basically from what i see, how you play AST card (and the combo) is depend on what card you draw, i've seen AST only draw 2 or 3 balance in the whole dungeon run while another one keep drawing nothing bole and balance

CU has been great since they changed it. You should be using it frequently, not sparingly now that you need to channel it only for 1-3 seconds until the server ticks and applies the buff.

Side note for you: Don't take AST in Level 50 Roulette, you and your team will hate the job for its inability to contribute to AoE damage until level 52. White Mage is the best option there.

Ast at 50 is garbage in dungeons

well what if his first heal class is AST, cant help about it =/

yes we cant do awesome AOE but we still do what healer originally do you know, since when the quality of healer now is depend on their AOE damage?

AST at 50 dungeon is fine, we lack the AOE yes but straight garbage? geez guys you set your standard way too high

I found it was always nice to stance dance between pulls, putting up shields before aggro, and then switching to regen right before engaging enemy. That way tanks can have stoneskin and noct shields at the start of each fight, and then regens can follow there after. Usually made for smoother pulls and more time to DPS during them.

It's better then the gravity ast doesn't even have at that level. With the damage it stuns which is why holy is better.

While AST is certainly serviceable in 50 content, from a trash compacting standpoint you get significantly more mileage with Holy (or even DoTs + Bane from a SCH) versus an AST with the only AoE option being Blizzard II. WHMs make the fastest runs in 50 since their upfront DPS with both AoE and single target in max ilvl gear helps melt things excessively quickly with little concern for their MP.

WHM is my healer of choice for when I want a 50, 60, or Expert roulette done as quickly as possible since the AoE burst damage is so high.

I enjoy SCH and AST more, but there's something to be said for Holy having a stun and requiring no target, especially when you pair it with Assize and Aero III at 60. Trash compactor indeed.
