    I hear you, man. I've gotten 3 weapons: Battleaxe, bow, and harpoon. Levels 0, 9, and 16, respectively. Oh, and I've gotten the axe twice. But it is as it is.

    First off, I love Reinhart. But you can't completely base any bitching on one of his translations. The way I read it is that the drop rate stays the same while the item you get is that special item you can trade with people.

    While that aspect may suck, at least they appear to be implimenting a concept that will allow you to fight Ifrit x amount of times to guarantee you a weapon of your choice. So if you are down on your luck at least with enough attempts you'll be able to get the weapon of your choice.

    Though if there's one issue I have I just don't understand why people like Greed/Need/Pass system, to me it just seems stupid, 6/6 could just need it out of Greed, while 5/6 say Greed one would say Need and they would get priority over the item which just sounds dumb. At least from what I"ve gone to understand that's how the system works. I don't understand why they don't just use the basic system in XI, lot or pass it's as simple as that, to add a third option just seems stupid and only leads to quarrels because someone who hit Need really wanted it out of Greed.

    x amount of MORE times.
    Remember the pple QQing, a good handful of them have done ifrit 100-200 times by now.

    I kinda cringe if i need to complete this same hell again =/

    Damn this place sure is getting negative.. hope the devs realize that the majority still appreciate all the great changes. Does Ifrit need a better drop system .. yes. Does it sound like they are totally fixing it.. no.

    So basically the are partially fixing it ..

    The kind of reactions some people post make me think the developers will stop communicating if they just get beat up every time they share ideas. How hard is it to be constructive and not so emotional. Its as easy as "SE, this doesn't make sense, you are only partially fixing the problem."

    They did this backwards... and on purpose :/
    You should be given directly the "Trade in "coins"", while the weapon that can occasionally drop, should go to 'loot list'.

    I agree with the OP though i do appriciate the trade system for multiple kills I would still rather see less drops rot because somone already has it. Previous method for DH and NMs worked just fine.

    We have so many dedicated friends and members in our LS that just need their main weapon (e.g., one of our most dedicated Lancers), and with this crappy Loot System, we've seen the Ifrit Harpoon thrown away on the floor numerous times, or someone who doesn't even play Lancer get it. Same for countless other weapons. It's a slap in the face.

    Definitely one of the worst Time Sinks and decisions Yoshida-san and his team have made so far.

    (And I really like most of what Yoshida-san has done and can't wait for 2.0!)
