    Sightseeing Log

Finally getting around to doing the sightseeing log and I must say...

When you climb up on some of these perches and take a moment to look around you, its hard not to see just how beautiful this game is. It gives you a little more appreciation for the zones and the devs who created them.

Just a shame some of the sight seeing log left me wanting to set the environment on fire afterwards instead of admire it... Northern Shroud would be able to smell cooked chicken coming from that stupid logging site...

While not really related to the sightseeing log, I sometimes find simple joy in just walking around the black shroud taking in the sights. The giant trees towering above me. The old stone walls covered in moss, the wooden bridges crossing over rivers, and the stone path lights lining the trail before me. The build and make of the old wooden houses, even the details put into the little nocks and corners of the towns and hamlets scattered across the woods. I just love these kind of fantasy medieval settings and locations.

haha, I have 1 more to go until 100% completion and it's one of those, walk right up to it and hit the emote

But out of all of them that one in Ixal Logging Grounds was by far the hardest one of them all.

I had to keep doing that crap three times until I finally made the jump. Only other one I had to do again when the weather came back around was the one in north thanalan. Easiest "hard" node was the one in mor dhona with the red half-dome. Just glad I got my minion / achievement and never have to do sight seeing ever again... until Stormbrood, but at least it'll just be Heavensward again and not a timed / weather event.

My biggest pain was the one in Central Shroud on training grounds. Can't remember what it's called. I hated that one. My current thorn in the side is the one on Buscarron's Bar. It's easy to get there, but my weather timing is bad. When the time hits, the weather changes and fail. I wish the weather change and emote timing weren't at the same time. Failed too many because of that. I have under 10 to go and I started when it was released. I think I have more to finish in Coerthas & Northern Thanalan than any other place. Those shouldn't be too hard. It's mostly a timing issue.

Hardest one for me was in mor dhona, I don't remember the weather requirements, only that you had to climb up something and then jump to land on top of a tree. I never used to manage it in the times the conditions were right, so in the end I made the jump then just stood there until the conditions came round again... which was 4am irl, had to set my alarm so I could run out and press the emote then go back to bed lol

Do you have to do the ARR sightseeing log in order to do the heavensward one?

I'm stuck on Apkallu falls. I don't understand what I'm supposed to be jumping on or from.

Heavensward sightseeing logs are not locked behind ARR, but the ARR 21-80 are locked behind ARR 1-20.

Regarding the Apkallu Falls sightseeing log, you need to jump from above the falls onto one of the lampposts, at night I believe, and use the /lookout emote.

Tip! Some mounts make jumping on things easier. The flying broom makes jumping on the ixal grounds really "easy"
I love sightseeing log it was so addictive and the sights were amazing!
