Palace of the Dead and high level abilities

Hello, everyone! I've been seeing a weird trend of people at deeper PotD levels and not actually using any of the high level abilities they get along the way. I get that there are a lot of them and you get them very quickly, but shouldn't you at least read all of your tooltips between sets of floors? Why wouldn't you at least TRY to use the abilities past level 20 when you're fighting the last boss?

They may be playing classes(Gladiator, Lancer, Archer, etc) and not jobs(Paladin, Lancer, Bard).

Some people just aren't willing to do something as simple as reading tooltips.

With the speed runs I get, it is hard to read and make sense of all the tool-tips or know when to use things. I only knew half of what my BLM stuff did/should be used for as my friend mains it and was coaching me with a tl;dr version to get me up to speed.

Pretty much this. When I did a few runs on my WAR (this was back when 1-50 was current content, and I had literally just unlocked WAR, so I was, in-game, level 30 or so), people wanted to blaze through it, that I was asking my FC mates to teach me how to 60 WAR on the fly basically. Because people don't really want to wait. And, nowadays, people don't even want to bother to gather all the chests (gold, silver, or bronze), or check all the rooms.

That was also when I decided that, if I wanted to learn to play a job properly, I would just stick to old-fashioned leveling (i.e., leveling dungeons).

This is why I go alone into 51-60 and setup my skills on hotbar, reading all the tooltips and practice abit. when I level a new class.

The thing is, from my experience, those players are in need to spend time setting the skills to their hotbar while the active people feel like that person is wasting time if they appear idle. One time, a DRK mentioned in chat to excuse his delay as he try to set skills little by little. The other two players began to get annoyed because so much time had passed and we weren't even half way done.

This is me. The sad part is, PotD pops faster than DF'ing the current dungeon or Leveling Roulette.
