    End game gear

Hi everyone, just a thought to see if anyone else feels the same way about high end gear in this game. I have played a couple mmo's in the past including FF11 and others and for other vet mmo players maybe you would understand the feeling of you know while being a lowbie and you see someone with awesome looking gear and high level ( probably some shine to it) and its like " wow i really want that and looks tough to get" and it usually is. Honestly, i do not feel that way in this game, I dont know if it is the glamour making all gear seem cool are maybe all the gear in the game is mostly flashy but i would like them to make the end game gear and pvp a bit more stylish or something? I don't even think i know what high end gear looks without examining someone. What do you guys and girls think?

Most people glamour over their gear so this suggestion is a bit moot.

I find it fairly easy to ddistinguish endgame gear.

Gear looks plain and boring and/or isn't dyeable and has no glow = leveling gear
Gear looks a very little bit fancy but isn't dyeable and has no glow = beginner gear/special dungeon sets, but still leveling gear
Gear looks fancy, elaborate and very cool but totally not like battle gear = lvl 1 glamour gear
Gear looks fancy, elaborate and very cool AND fit for battle one way or another = endgame gear (either 50 or 60).

I find it hard to relate, because I never experienced that feeling you had there. I have of course frequently seen people wear something I find nice looking and wanted to find out what it was and where to get it, but I never actually cared whether it was endgame or the player high leveled or the item hard to get - or not. All I cared for was that it looked nice and I still do get that feeling occasionally in FFXIV. Not as frequently as when I was a lowbie of course, but occasionally.

And while I agree that Endgame gear isn't necessarily evident...IMO, PvP gear nowadays is rather unique. I find most of the pieces ugly as sin, but the motifs are definitely something you don't commonly see.

So...I dunno. I don't see anything really wrong with the way things are - I rarely openly wear endgame stuff anyway and glamour over it.

It's kind of tough for them to continuously make each patch's gear more "stylish" than the one before, particularly when different players have such different tastes on what they'd like gear to look like. So instead it's more like: the higher level you are, the wider the array of different options you have available, and (past 50 when it's unlocked) the glamour system lets you take your pick of any of them (any that you earn, that is).
