same- I cant even access the lobby nowOr the proverbial chip on their shoulder. Joking of course, but you never know with people these days... eh. Let's hope this gets fixed pronto, if it's a technical issue - but if it's an actual denial of service attack, chances are that the only way out is waiting it out, unless they've suddenly gotten better at isolating the attack vector, or routing around it.
Still experiencing trouble on my side: I managed to log in once but things immediately slowed down to a crawl. Lobby server errors afterwards, at least so far.
If you aren't connecting through Level3, and if Level3 is the main issue here, then your issues could be located elsewhere.
What did the first 8 lines of your traceroute look like? Did you have relatively consistent hops? If your hops are higher in the first couple of lines, then that could point to a local network issue, rather than something further down the connection route.

Well it came from my provider.

Had a queue b4 when i logged in and thought it was odd. No issues but other peeps were reporting them. Logged out for dinner and now getting Lobby error 5006. Other peeps are dc'ing and now getting same error.

Oh, the issue is most definitely Level3. There is really no doubt in my mind that it is.
Just Zeckon wasn't connecting through them, so their issues with lag/DC lie elsewhere.
Based on their trace, seems like theirs is actually related to their ISP.
I gave up on even trying after the 10th disconnect. T^T
And I was playing with a friend who had been swallowed by the FFXV Sea for the last 2 weeks, too! T^T

IMHO, the issue is either with peering agrements (Cogent, if I'm recalling correctly, had somewhat of a rocky relationship with Level3, and the latter was discussing a merge with CenturyLink), or with traffic routing. The causes for the latter could range from a DDoS to some kind of technical failure -- Level3's recent track record in this department seems to be... sort of spotty, as network outage maps and tracing would imply. If you aren't connecting through Level3, and if Level3 is the main issue here, then your issues could be located elsewhere.
