Are there any NPCs that's sort of romantically interested in the Warrior of Light?

Aside from Haurchefant and Ser Aymeric (I know people are going to say these two, though the latter seems more like a true and loyal friend like Haurchefant been when he was helping us) I'm kinda curious if there's been any hints or suggestions from NPCs in and out of quests that mention if there's anyone that's interested in the Warrior of Light as more than a friend... or at least very close to them like a best friend.

I've missed some NPCs and their dialogue accidentally either because it's crowded with many PCs and I miss seeing the NPCs or I miss an NPC off the corner of my NPC and I can't exit out of the dialogue or scene and double back.

I always believed Tataru might be one that's interested in the Warrior of Light considering when you rescue she ignores Wedge (who has a big-time crush on her... sorry Wedge) who was there to help and runs up to the WoL in tears saying she knew the WoL would come to save them (I can't remember the conversation). The other scene was the beach scene at the end of the 2.X storyline and looks back to the WoL while they left the scene and she smiles flirtatious before going to collect more shells on her for good luck charms for the Scions.

That's my headcanon as everyone made memes about her being an evil mastermind, but nothing came out of it like that throughout 3.X so far and I initially assumed she was looking longingly at the WoL in a very deep admiring way.

I've done tons of the MSQ and Side-Quests, though not all of them, and then there's the occasionally non-targetable NPCs that have their own word bubbles and possibly make other comments and appear at certain times as well.

So has there been any NPCs that shown to be interested in the WoL (regardless of gender it seems with some NPCs) at all? Or is the WoL just the "Hero Idol" that everyone wants to pal around with?

There is no known romantic interests. It is probably because FF14 Dev team does not want to undercut your own character development. Most NPC's only see you with respect and idolize you, while others only see you as friends.

I never saw Tataru as a romantic interest though... Maybe because I'm a female WoL? And Aymeric... not really seeing that one either, besides inviting you to have dinner with him... I mean, the queen of Ul'dah does the same thing and she's not into you, lol.

While pretty much deciding my every turn and feeling on the way. Whenever we do get a choice, it amounts to nothing ._.'

As such, I can't really treat the WoL as "my" character - I only decided the appearance. The rest is out of my hands and they just as well give her a canon voice and class at this point >_>

That said: As female miqo'te, it is my headcanon that "everyone" is a potential love interest - most people just can't pay my fee.

Is this in the english dialogue or the japanese? I play with the english dialogue and I don't think I've ever seen this mentioned. Unless it was veeeeery subtle. I don't pick up on subtle very well. :P

It's in the Japanese text in an unvoiced cutscene. It happens in Camp Dragonhead when you and Alphinaud go and ask for his assistance some time or another. The translation is out there if you google enough relevant keywords. Some fans on tumblr posted transcripts.
