Ramuh Vs. Ramoo, per FFXV localization

It's interesting to know that Final Fantasy XIV was one of the first games to pronounce Ramuh in the game. In it, English-speaking players were shocked to hear that Ramuh was not pronounced Ra-Muh, but rather Ramoo or Ramu. Oddly enough, even the forums moderators sounded a little surprised in their Duty Commenced episode.

Lore now, right? Not so fast. In Final Fantasy XV, the game returns to what was anticipated to be Ra-Muh. Now if theories of FFXIV's aether prove to be true, this challenges localization on other games and crossovers such as Dissidia.

I'm curious if the localization team will either alter this voiceover in a similar fashion that they did over the first final Crystal Tower boss realizing the localization trouble, or if the voice acting is over with and cannot be altered. And if so, will we no longer hear his name spoken in voice acting again and simply be referred to as the Lord of Levin?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean.... in Japanese it's always been pronounced ra-muu (long oo sound), just like they pronounce it in FFXIV. Pronouncing it rah-muh (rhyme with uh) is... I guess a very Western thing.

I think it just depends on who's saying his name.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

It's always been Ramoo to me. This is like the issue with the Tie-dus crowd, also Choke-abos or Choc-abos

The most important question is probably, which FFXV language track are you referring to, and is it pronounced the same in both English and Japanese?

Basically, whatever the pronunciation is in the FFXV Japanese track is gonna be the 'canon' one.
