    Constant Peak Times

If this has already been a thread, then please direct me to it. But I'd like to know more about which Worlds are the least/most active.

I alternate mainly between two, one for day, the other for evening. Because I have a lot of good friends who are on at different times. Balmung aside, are there any servers that are just loaded all the time? I mean day and night, people raiding, running around, and not idling in their houses.

I spend more time making friends than actually progressing and it kinda sucks when it hits 2-5am where I am and the only people "online" are afk and asleep or RMT bots.

I can only talk about the server I play on: Moogle.

Between 4PM ~ 11PM GMT is the most active period during the week (it's different on Saturday/Sunday).

I don't know where you are so I don't know what is "2-5 am" for you, but if it is about GMT, then it's also deserted on Moogle. During that period the Party finder is usually empty or at best 1 or 2 group recruiting for Khloe or some Raid.

Also since the release of Final Fantasy XV, it's even more deserted xD

Everyone is asleep at "2am - 5am" in EU, speaking of Cerberus server. You may find a few people in Limsa Lominsa or in Quarrymill, but that's all. Party Finder is also empty.

If you want to play at night and from EU, then your best bet would be a 2nd NA server - like Gilgamesh.

Well then, I should mention my timezone is "Central Time Zone UTC-06:00" (just copying and pasting from Google) and I alternate between Lich, Ultros, and occasionally Sarg.

So you are from NA, then Odin (EU) can be considered "populated" at that time.

    To answer your initial question:
No, there is no server that is evenly populated at all times. Every server (even including Balmung) is on a certain datacenter and therefore has a certain timeframe attached during which it is evening for the overwhelming majority of the players on the server, and outside of that timeframe, there WILL be less players online; depending on the size of the server "less" may mean anything between "none at all" and "still quite a lot".
If you do not want to alternate between servers, you will have to deal with that.

@your timezone: So I assume you are East Coast NA?
When it is 2-5 am where you live, it is 8-11 am in Europe, which means most people are at work/school already, so European Servers (Cerberus, Lich, Moogle, Odin, Phoenix, Ragnarok, Shiva and Zodiark) are not gonna be of much help.
Timewise, a JP server would be best, since it is 5-8 pm in Japan when it is 2-5 am at your place. Keep in mind though that the English-speaking community is barely existent on JP servers, so that may make it unplayable as well, even if the peak times match up with your playtimes.

Honestly, I'd say just find a very populated NA server and stay there; while there will be less people active at night, it won't die out completely like on mid-size and smaller servers

Most people are done with their runs.

I'll tell you why, they obtained all their scriptures from Palace of the dead, if you have ever noticed when a reset happens that whole town in packed.

They keep re-running even if they have their weapon done just for the scriptures.

They do 1 alexandrian gear run and bam they log out, only a select few go do dungeons, the wonder book people do that on first day it rests and they have a week to do nothing.

SE set it up to obtain stuff way to easy which people neglect running long dungeons for stuff.

Peak day is the day they reset no day after you just wait for a long time for a party.

if they remove lore and scripts from deep dungeon you will see people playing again.

Constant peak times ceased to be a thing after they added regional servers.
