Can we get an mp3 like in FFXV please ?

For people who haven't play FFXV, we can use an mp3 to listen to the most iconic musics of the series whenever you are, from Final Fantasy I to Final Fantasy XIV.

It's not that I don't like the musics of FFXIV, not at all in fact I love them, but sometimes, depending of your mood, it's a nice thing to be able to listen to some musics.
Just imagine listening to Rose of May inside Ishgard, or Liberi Fatali when you feel epic as f**k lol

I really hope Square Enix will bring this feature (not necessarily as an mp3 though) in the next FF games, like Stormblood FFXIV.
Honestly, I think it's one of the best addition that FFXV brings in the series, it seems really casual but Final Fantasy musics are just too good (and that's why we got Theathrythm right ? )

So please Square, think about it

I don't think the technical limitations are to do with the PS3, rather the implementation of music in the game. Same reason that we only have 2 save slots for PotD

Well, PS4 has its own media player. And PC, you can have a browser window open with a song of your choice playing from youtube, with an option to loop/repeat on both PS4 and PC.

Let's not suggest something that wastes potential resources and dev time.

Yeah pretty much. Unless you're on a toaster it shouldn't be an issue to just open up a media player and mute the game audio.

Also, FFXV commercials have been playing on TV all day. I'd rather the game exist for awhile, then implement features from it. Being a FF game, I'm sure it has tons more secrets people will be aching for but don't even know are there yet.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything...
1) System configuration > Sound Setting > Mute BGM button
2) Pull up song on Youtube > Enter repeat in url after youtube (For the song to repeat)
3) Kick ass

Thing with this, is that it can be any song. FF, (Enter cool arsh game), anything. Wanna listen to some Sesame Street while fighting A12S ? You can. Wanna listen to some Dora the Explora while wondering Eorzea ? You caaaaaaan lol. Im in Ishgard right now listening to Rose of May with only the BGM muted so its like its apart of it.

Jokes aside...Im not against the idea itself, but Im against the Staff dedicating time/resources to something that can for the most part be achieved already (and when there is so many other things to be handled). The only ones who would benefit off this would be console/PS4 Players I believe ( I dont know if things can be played in the BG of the PS4 ).

For all those saying "2 clicks and YouTube"

Just know that on PS4 you have to use the media player app which will log you out of your whole game when you want to use it AND takes up a USB slot(need a flash drive or something). So you would have to run media player before you play FFXIV

PS4 can play Spotify in the background
