Dissapointed with SE. They dind't even make an event for FFXV launch. I mean, we practically financed this game (don't say that we not) with our montlhy fees.
Even Lightning Returns had a cool launch event.

Not entirely with our fees, maybe the last stretch was boosted by us though. Since Noctis was first shown doing his thing though, FFXIV has had chance to:
Be officially announced
Be released
Be closed down
Get remade
Get re-released
Get a full expansion
Get another full expansion announced.
Did Yoshi not say that he wants the players to play XV for a while before launching the even or something? Or was it just a rumor?
Did we really need yet another thread covering this same topic? Yoshida has stated if a XV event is to happen in XIV, it will happen sometime after XV's release so that people have time to experience XV. Give it time.
I prefer them all focus on the coming expansion rather then another cross over event.
XIV did not finance the game. Multiple titles including XIV (towards the end of XV's development) financed the game over its 10 year cycle.
There is really only one title that can boast saving the Crystal Tools / Light / Luminous Engine era that had SE in rough financial waters.
- XI subs for over 10+ yrs.
The acquisition of Taito and the success of the NESiCAxLive platform, along with Lord of Vermilion III have contributed to boosted profits over the last few years. Infact, Taito's arcade operations have done extremely well considering the industry itself in Japan has declined. Yet Taito has had gains every fiscal year.
Add in XIV:ARR and those are the major gains for the Company in the last few years.
TLDR: It's not that simple.
If anything... FF14 probably cost the company more money then it has gained with the failure of the previous FF14.XIV did not finance the game. Multiple titles including XIV (towards the end of XV's development) financed the game over its 10 year cycle.

More excited for stormblood.
As posted in another thread I didn't care much for XV.
If people can make 101 threads talking about beastmaster or red Mage then they can do the same about this. Your wasting ur breathe on this subject.
