How About An "Incognito" Player Status?

Yeah I truly get the feeling this is more about arguing for the sense of arguing.

First was the argument that this is a social game and thats why it shouldn't be implemented. Even though the only thing it does is taking you off the player search. You can still chat, get tells from people near you and more..even more since this would stop RMT sending you a invite if you are not near them it might even make the game more social. And if the OP get random tells from someone or is followed by someone this would stop it, because they can only find them through player search, not sure how you got it different.

The other was about new players. I am still not sure why this would be bad. This is a optional status so not everyone will use it and I am quite sure that a lot of new players wont look up the search function randomly. With the status they could even still send a tell to someone nearby and they have the newbie chat to ask questions.

I also had my experiences with horrible players, one was even going around telling other lies, stalking our FC when we had a event with another FC and many more things. Sending a report did nothing..its probably not that easy to punish someone just for stalking. Being able to at least go unnoticed by those would be nice and the RMT could not sent those annoying invites anymore if they are not near one..(and those annoying random FC invites would stop too) Just because its not that bad on one server does not mean that its good everywhere. And I am sorry on Moogle I had quite a lot of random RMT invites the last few days..

I just truly cant see any negative side for this. Its optional, its only for the search function, it would be helpful..so why are you trying so hard to argue against it? Why are you so aggressive in your posts? :/
Yeah posting that you are a troll is not nice but the other people did nothing wrong and yet you verbally attack them so much..

@Edit: I dont use the screenshot feature yet I would not go around in the forum and argue that its so unnecessary just because I find no use in it. You might thing other options are better but seeing the likes on the first post and most of the answers, a lot of people would like it. Really there is nothing negative to it. You would probably not even notice that its part of the game if you dont use it. But for those that are stalked, for those that get RMT tells or spam from FCs this might help.

And just because some posted their own version of this status does not change the meaning of the original post.

First of all Im not aggressive at all and I havent verbal attacked someone if you think otherwise please quote smth from me to prove me wrong. But the problem is you all pick only the thing "disable player search to prevent rmt /tells and invites" which wasnt the only thing that OP suggested which lead me to my 2nd argument with new players I even quoted OP somewhere where he/she already said that ppl shouldnt be able to talk to him/her in the first place. Some people even suggested making it impossible to see players online or not in fc etc. Its easy to pick the good stuff and ignoring all the bad stuff that got suggested in the first place.

So also I never said that new players use the player search function. (here again if I said it quote me).

Next point would be "I reported someone but he didnt got punished" how you know he didnt got punished? Right you cant know because GMs wont tell you if said person got a warning/ban. Sure you can check if the person is offline or online days after but if he got only a warning you wouldnt know that.


Like I said countless of times with "preventing rmt". Check my post above it wont fix the problem itself. Years ago they spammed friends request then it was mostly /tells now its party invites there is always a way. See my post above for more arguments about this rmt.

I've seen quite a lot of bait and it looks like everyone keeps biting hard. You have a post limit, wasting it on a helpless cause isn't worth it. Accept that you can't convince everyone and Tia isn't going to move. They're going to scream and text lingo respond until they can't anymore. I know for a fact they'll comeback with some nonsensical attack, because it's all they've been doing.

So let's all calm down, and ignore this person for the sake of not going in another circle.
