How About An "Incognito" Player Status?

I did read the whole 6 pages and I can honestly say I have no idea what your arguments are beyond "there are already other, more cumbersome ways to deal with harassment after the fact so why implement a measure to prevent it ever happening in the first place", which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Also, that there's little RMT on Greg doesn't mean a thing. Greg is not all servers.

I have alts pretty much on every EU and NA server which I said before so I didnt talked about only gilga.Further more you wont prevent harassment or RMT since it will always exist. I rather use 2 clicks to report RMT bots so they and all of the rmt chars connected to this gets banned instead of just leaving them there getting more and more. I asked you if you read the whole thread because you clearly havent read that OP doesnt really want the exact same thing some ppl suggest here. Making players on player search invisible is different to "This game doesnt allow me to prevent ppl talking to me in the first place"

? PS4 and PS3 PSNs have many privacy settings to prevent people from getting to you. Including an "Incognito" mode. I get what you're saying, but options like these are made because of trolling, spam etc.

And yes, there are people who try to follow me around or contact me through tells randomly.

Shows that OP doesnt want to get tells from anyone not only want to use it against RMT and also shows that this is not only about the player search. So please can everyone stop bringing up that argument that its only about player search to prevent rmt.

Sure you can blacklist. But did blacklist ever fix anything? Does reporting ever fix anything nowadays? .

While for different reasons, I would love to be incognito at times when I maybe don't have much time to play and would like to just log on, get things done, then log out. Nothing against my friends at all of course, but being a very sociable person has its own complications at times.

Usual person who agree to OP but doesnt realise that you can just log in and do stuff and log out without talking already etc. (true friends understand that). Also I have the right as fc master to know who is on in my fc like srsly.

I've been asking for a privacy mode for a while now. It's a little creepy that strangers can look at who you are and what you're doing without any established relationship (friends, members of the same FC or Linkshell, etc).

Its not creepy at all knowing stuff like char appearance/ingame name etc. isnt creepy at all people still dont know who you are + they can see that ingame too.

Tia I really don't understand why you're fighting this so hard. You're literally the only person in this thread that's against it and I cant understand your arguments enough to figure out why.

I know which bots you mean but RMT will always find a way. The problem isnt the player search its the rmt bots and the rare ppl who harass others. Just because you take someones gun away doesnt mean he cant kill someone. You have to get rid of the core problem not the way ppl use because they can simply find a new way to reach their goals.

You are arguing something at least 8 people on here are for. You are clearly outnumbered

Every time someone is reported, that means someone has to look over it, even at least just read it to determine if it's worth looking into.

While you can already turn off /tell option it will force most ppl out of the busy status sooner or later so its fine again.

Ignore it?: Shouldn't have to.
Blacklist?: Shouldn't have to. Easily prevented if they can't get to you in the first place.
Report?: Too much hassle. Send ticket. Wait for response. And wait for action. And pray for results.
/Busy?: Shouldn't have to cut off all communication.

This thread in a nutshell. Lazy ppl everywhere. If it bothers someone so much (any reason?) then use the two fast tools you have which is ignoring/blacklist thats why we have it. It bothers you extremely? Report. In the end since ppl always find a way these options are the best to prevent such stuff in future.

So dont think arguments on this thread are much better than my own.
